π MCX Trading Sessions
Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) India operates two main trading sessions from Monday to Friday:
- Morning Session: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (All commodities)
- Evening Session (Summer): 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM (AprβOct)
- Evening Session (Winter): 5:00 PM to 11:55 PM (NovβMar)
Evening timings vary due to international daylight saving adjustments.

- β Overnight holdings require full margin

π MCX Holidays & Market Off Days
MCX remains closed on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and on the following national holidays:
- Republic Day (26th January)
- Holi
- Independence Day (15th August)
- Diwali (Evening session may be open)
- Christmas Day (25th December)

π Types of Contracts on MCX
- Gold: Available in Mini (100g), Guinea (8g), and standard (1kg) lots.
- Crude Oil: Standard & Mini contracts (10 barrels, 100 barrels).
- Natural Gas: Smaller tick sizes, suitable for short-term trades.
- Base Metals: Copper, Zinc, Lead, Nickel contracts available.
